MK Dons keeper Laurie Walker has joined Hampton & Richmond Borough on loan.

The 29-year-old spent the last two seasons with  the Beavers’ divisional rivals Hemel Hempstead Town. That was his second spell with the Tudors, making 180 appearances for them.

The club say he was a number of people’s choice for best keeper in the league in the end of season poll, such was the quality of his season with Hemel.

Speaking on Thursday evening, Walker said, “It’s going to be a great move me coming to the club for everyone involved, as I’m keen to help Hampton start the season strong.

“It’s also giving me valuable game time to stay sharp and ready for when my opportunity comes around at MK.

“The agreement makes sense as it’s getting me game time which is what I want and need. Hampton is a wonderful club and I’m looking forward to getting started and helping the team drive in the right direction.”
