Hampton & Richmond Borough have completed the signing of Yado Mambo, most recently with West London neighbours Wealdstone.
Mambo has found his playing time limited with The Stones this season, and with current injuries and suspensions in the Beavers squad, Gary McCann saw this as the perfect opportunity to add defensive steel.
Speaking to the Wealdstone club website, Manager Bobby Wilkinson said, “Yads leaves with our blessing as we couldn’t guarantee first-team football for him. He has been absolutely brilliant for the club during his time here and ,we are sorry to see him go but he needs to play football and unfortunately we couldn’t guarantee that.”
Mambo’s youth career started with Charlton Athletic, where he enjoyed loan spells out to Welling, Dover, Staines Town, Ebbsfleet United, Shrewsbury Town and AFC Wimbledon in his time. He made national news when calls for him to be given the shirt No.5 received widespread coverage, with Ebbsfleet eventually satisfying the masses by making a one-off shirt, and auctioning it for charity.
