Macclesfield Town have announced that Mitch Hancox has agreed to extend his stay at the Moss Rose.
The former Birmingham City youngster has penned a new contract with the Silkmen, keeping him at the Club until the summer of 2018.
Hancox has been a regular for the Silkmen during this season after his arrival in the summer and started the season at left-back where he competed for a place with David Fitzpatrick.
But it has been in a new holding midfield role where Hancox has perhaps made the biggest impression. The 23-year-old came on at half-time during the Emirates FA Cup win at Walsall in the heart of the Macclesfield midfield and has heavily impressed since, scoring in the win over Wrexham earlier this month.
He will now look for some more progression over the next 18 months after signing a new deal with the Football Club.
