Handsworth Parramore’s joint interim manager Jon Froggatt has left the club to take the role of assistant manager at AFC Mansfield.

The club’s all-time leading scorer will leave to link up with his good friend and ex-Amber Mark Ward at the Bulls. Froggatt joined the Ambers at the start of the 2015/16 season and has gone on to to score 106 goals in 150 appearances.

He took a step back from playing regular football this season to take the joint interim managerial reins with Steven Istead.

Vice-chairman Steve Holmes said: “First and foremost, Jon has been unbelievable since he walked through our door almost four years ago. A fine man and a class act who has given his all for our club, stepping in to help manage the club on two occasions.

“His goals-per-game record is simply outstanding and a record I doubt will ever be bettered. His influence on our young talents has been exemplary.“

Steven Istead will take sole charge of first-team affairs.
