Craig Elliott believes his Boston United side should have been awarded two penalties as they drew 0-0 with Curzon Ashton.

A point was enough for the Pilgrims to move up to fifth in the National League North, although it may have been three had referee Scott Tallis blown for what appeared to be fouls on Dominic Knowles and Nicky Walker.

“I thought they were both penalties,” Elliott said.

“I don’t like being that manager who moans about referees or other things, but I think they’re both penalties.

“You hope it evens out over the season.”
