Haringey Borough had a night to remember on Monday as they beat Aveley 3-2, with the winner coming at the end – via their goalkeeper Austin Byfield.

The Bostik League North Division clash was settled in dramatic fashion kicked the ball out of his hands, before it bounced in the opposing box into the hands of Aveley’s Rhys Madden. Unfortunately for Madden, the momentum saw his carry it back over his goalline, giving the home side the victory in extraordinary circumstances.

The Boro players rushed to celebrate with their unlikely goal hero on a night where they had twice trailed the Millers, coming back to level Coby Rowe just a couple of minutes before the end.
