Harlow Town have announced the return of striker Alex Read from neighbours Bishop’s Stortford.
Read needs no introduction to Hawks supporters. He initially joined the club in July 2013, and in the course of five years, he became one of the club’s most prolific strikers.
In his first season, he scored an incredible 52 league and cup goals, breaking a 25-year-old club record for the number of goals in one season. He also became only the second Harlow Town player to surpass a century of goals, going on to score a total of 178 in 278 appearances in a Harlow shirt.
