Assistant head coach Shaun Harrad is leaving Ilkeston Town.

He told the club’s website: “It is with a heavy heart that I’m announcing that my time at Ilkeston Town FC has come to an end. It has been mutually agreed that leaving the club is in the best interest of all parties concerned.

“Hopefully, this decision will allow Mark Clifford to continue his process of recruitment in making the team stronger both on and off the pitch in their quest for promotion and building foundations for a bright future at Ilkeston Town. This in return will allow me to concentrate on my SHC coaching company, along with me continuing with the playing and coaching role which I enjoy immensely.”

Head coach Mark Clifford said: “I’d like to thank Shaun for all his efforts on the pitch, in which he has been a huge part of the early success that we have had as a developing team. He is a model professional and this was very much needed at a time when we were building a team and gelling players together.”
