With pre-season fast approaching, Kiddersminster Harriers boss John Eustace is relishing the chance to tangle with some tough opposition.
The Harriers are set to host five big Premier League and Football League names during July and August.
That programme is supplemented by some tricky trips to other opposition, too.
All in all it’s shaping up to be an intriguing set of games, starting with the visit of Eustace’s former club in Derby County on Tuesday, July 11th.
“It’s great for the lads to play against to players because that’s where they want to be,” said the gaffer.
“We had a strong pre-season last year against some good teams.
“Pre-season is all about getting fit as well so if the lads can do that and also learn from the players they’re going up against then that’s all part and parcel of it.”
Aston Villa, Burnley, Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion all also visit Aggborough.
Harriers will also travel to the likes of Redditch United and Forest Green Rovers before the season kicks off on August 5th.
“We still have some tough games against some teams around our level and that’s vital,” added Eustace.
“But it’s great for the fans to get these big clubs coming to Aggborough as well and the club have done fantastically to get them in.”
