Kidderminster Harriers have been urged to replicate Ousmane Fane’s work-rate and endeavour as they embark on the final stretch of the season starting at Lincoln City this weekend.
Harriers have been without a first-team game since 5 March following the postponement of the FC Halifax Town home match.
They’ll take to the road once more when they go to Sincil Bank on Saturday, and Colin
Gordon has said that the French midfield man has, over the last few weeks, been the ‘benchmark’ of what he expects from his outfit.
“You see how much ground Ousmane covers and the effort and work-rate he puts in,” said Colin.
“I have said to the lads that this is their benchmark.
“If you haven’t covered as much ground as him and been as honest as him and been as determined as him… he isn’t the most naturally gifted of ball players but he has absolutely no fear of taking the ball.
“He [also] has no fear of going through five tackles in a row to win the ball back.
“He covers every blade of grass and he is the benchmark we have to get to.”
