Dave Mehew has announced that Jack Harris is to become Mangotsfield United first team coach.
Mehew added that Harris still has a lot to offer the club. He’ll be the first to admit he isn’t 100% due to his thyroid problem but that will clear up in time.
A statement on the club’s website read “People seem to forget the good start we had with Jack in the team. Of the five league matches we’ve lost, he’s only started in the Shortwood and Hereford matches. So he is and will be, valuable as the season goes on and I believe further years to come once this problem clears up completely. He’s also a popular figure in the dressing room and can be a further link between me and the team.
Most other clubs have three people involved in the staff area so this will help me and Lewis at training and having a different voice to consider. He will be available for Saturday’s match if need be especially as we wait on news of Ryan Batten’s injury”
