Harrogate Town have reached the EFL after winning the National League play-offs.
Simon Weaver’s side overcame Notts County 3-1 at Wembley on Sunday afternoon. George Thomson and Connor Hall put Town into a 2-0 lead in the first half, with Harrogate overwhelmingly in control and with chances to extend their advantage.
Notts were the dominant team after the restart, halving the deficit soon into the second half through Connor Roberts’ free-kick. Ultimately, though, it was the Yorkshire club’s day, and it was sealed through Jack Diamond’s finish on 70 minutes.
