Harrogate Town AFC have started planning proceedings to tear down one of its stands to be replaced with new facilities almost doubling its current capacity.

The club have submitted an environmental impact screening opinion to undertake wholescale improvements at its Wetherby Road ground. A screening opinion is generally undertaken ahead of a full planning application.




The club want to demolish their changing rooms, entrance building and corporate hospitality stand in order to extend and improve the offering at the stadium.

The redevelopment would also create a new office building and extend the family stand, the south stand and create new seated terraces to the north east and east,
