Hartlepool United defender Liam Donnelly has this afternoon completed a move to Scottish Premiership outfit Motherwell for an undisclosed fee.
The Northern Ireland Under-21 international travelled to Scotland on Wednesday to undergo a medical and now all terms have been agreed to confirm his switch to Fir Park.
Donnelly joined Pools in the summer of 2016 after impressing on trial following his release from Fulham and he went on to make 62 appearances for the club, scoring three goals.
Pools were keen to extend Donnelly’s stay at Victoria Park and a new contract was offered to the 22-year-old defender at the end of last season.
However, he has now opted to leave the club and will move to The Steelmen where he will link-up with former Pools stars Trevor Carson and Peter Hartley.
