Hartlepool United’s takeover looks set to rumble on into next week, say The Northern Echo.
While the deal is in place for Raj Singh, the former Darlington chairman, to take control at Pools, it has yet to be finalised. There is no hitch in the process or the deal itself, the only delay is merely down to the legal framework around the takeover taking time.
Singh hoped to have it announced two weeks ago today, but it has rumbled on over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend and further since. A National League board meeting takes place next Thursday when it should be ratified by league officials and then be finally announced and confirmed.
Pools’ owners Sage Investments and benefactor John Blackledge want everything in place and all papers signed off before the takeover is confirmed officially.
