It has been reported that Hartlepool United have been given six weeks to pay their outstanding tax bill or face being wound up, while the club’s head of football operations Paul Watson is set to depart.
The Northern Echo have reported that the club has until March 21st to pay its bill or face being wound up in the High Court. Six days ago, a winding-up petition was issued for £48,000.
The Echo say that this being the fourth winding-up order issued in 18 months following the struggles overseen by former chairman Gary Coxall and JPNG will not count in the club’s favour. Additionally, the Sunderland Echo have reported that Pools’ head of football operations Paul Watson is due to leave the club, although not immediately.
