On-loan Hartlepool United man Lewis Cass has signed a new contract with parent club Newcastle United.
The defender joined Dave Challinor’s team on a season-long loan at the beginning of October.
The extension for the 20-year-old at Newcastle takes him through to summer 2022.
Cass told the Magpies’ website: “Personally, I want to try and get around 35-40 games under my belt (at Hartlepool), which will set me in good stead for next season, and hopefully, closing the gap on the first team.
“As a homegrown player, my dream is to play in front of 52,000 supporters.”
