Luton Town forward Zane Banton has joined Vanarama National League South side St Albans City on loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old homegrown product has made four first-team appearances this season, all in the Checkatrade Trophy with starts against Gillingham and West Brom, then as a substitute against Millwall and Swindon.
The move to Clarence Park is a third loan in Non-League football for Banton, having spent time at Evo-Stik League Southern Premier side Biggleswade Town and St Albans’ National League South neighbours Hemel Hempstead Town in the last two seasons.
Boss Nathan Jones said: “Due to a lack of match time lately and to continue his development, it’s important that Zane stays sharp and has a focus to work to.
“We felt that this move to St Albans is a sensible one as he can train with us on a daily basis and we can monitor him easily in games there.”
