Havant & Waterlooville manager Paul Doswell has agreed a new three-year contract.

The former Sutton United boss took over at the National League South club in April 2019.

CEO Stuart Munro told the Hawks’ website: “We believe we’ve got the best manager and assistant manager in the Conference South and the division above.

“Paul’s record over the last 20 years speak for themselves. He’s had a great deal of success at Sutton United and we feel that he will bring success to this club for many years to come through Paul’s management.”

Doswell added: “I think it’s a very exciting period. Clearly the last two years are disappointing because of the pandemic, we’ve not been able to achieve what I wanted.

“I’ve had great support from the board in terms of being able to sign the players I wanted, I’ve got a good relationship with the board, which is important.

“You’ve got to feel you have their backing.”
