Havant & Waterlooville have announced the signing of Danny Kedwell following his departure from Ebbsfleet United.

The 35-year-old former Gillingham and AFC Wimbledon striker left Fleet after four-and-a-half years with the club. He now links up with Paul Doswell’s Havant side, who are bidding to return to the Vanarama National League at the first attempt.

Kedwell struck 65 goals for Ebbsfleet and also skippered the side. His farewell post on Instagram read as follows:

“It’s time to say goodbye to Ebbsfleet United… getting into three play-offs, and getting promoted in one as captain of the club which I’ll never forget. I would like to thank my ex-teammates, they have all been a credit to work with day in, day out. I made some great friends and I wish them all the best for the future and I’d like to thank all the fans for your great support, you’ve been brilliant.”
