Midfielder Djamel Leeflang is set to make his first start for Havant & Waterlooville in tonight’s Portsmouth Senior Cup tie against United Services Portsmouth at Westleigh Park (7.45pm).
The Dutch-born 26-year-old came on as a second-half substitute in the 0-0 draw at Chesterfield.
His international clearance came through last week after previously playing in the Indonesian Premier League. Before that he also had spells playing in the Maldives and Malta.
Lee Bradbury is hoping his latest signing will prove his worth in the middle of the park.
The Hawks boss said: “He can play anywhere in midfield and at 6ft-plus has a good presence.
“Technically he is very good as you would expect coming from Holland. Djamel has been training with us for a few weeks and we managed to get a deal and international clearance over the line.
“His aim has always been to play football in England. With his fantastic attitude and good physique he must stand a real chance.”
