Clitheroe have announced that former Wales striker Simon Haworth will be stepping down as manager.
The one-time Cardiff City, Coventry City, Wigan Athletic and Tranmere Rovers man has been in charge since 2016 and he will leave with the side mid-table in the Evo-Stik North.
A statement on the club site had this to say:
‘Simon Haworth has today decided to step down from his managers post after Saturday’s final game of the season.
After two enjoyable seasons of exciting football resulting in play-off chases, cup finals and semi-finals, and some incredible performances, the club wish to sincerely thank Simon for his services to the club on and off the pitch, and offer their full support to whatever the next step in his career is.’
