Evo-Stik League Southern Hayes & Yeading United will be hoping for a change in fortunes after agreeing a new four game deal to play at Beaconsfield SYCOB.
Forced to play away from their new Skyex Community Stadium since last month while essential works are completed, Mickey Lewis and his side won their first outing at Holloways Park when they beat Chesham United 1-0 but they were knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday, Ryman Premier Worthing running out 2-0 winners in the cup’s second qualifying round.
After getting the green light from the Evo-Stik League Southern to pencil in the fixtures, United will return to Holloways Park on Sunday 2 October to host Dorchester Town, the fixture switched to Sunday with their temporary landlords hosting Felixstowe & Walton United in the cup’s third qualifying round the day before.
Midweek fixtures against Hanwell Town and St Ives Town follow on Tuesday 4 October and Tuesday 11 October respectively before their final league game at the home of the Evo-Stik League Southern Central Division club on Saturday 15 October when King’s Lynn Town are the visitors.
In a statement following their cup exit, a club spokesman said: “The club are again grateful to Beaconsfield for their assistance and once again apologise to all fans that are inconvenienced by these changes of venue.”
When United were forced out, chairman Tony O’Driscoll apologised to fans for any disruption caused. With work progressing, officials are now hoping to be granted the relevant safety certificates in time to host Circencester Town in the league on Saturday 22 October.
