Manager Hakan Hayrettin says he has “pulled no punches” in letting Braintree Town’s players know that he is looking to make changes to his Iron squad, the Braintree & Witham Times report.

Braintree will return to Vanarama National League action after a two-week hiatus on Saturday when they welcome Solihull Moors to Cressing Road (kick-off 12.30pm) for a game that will be played in front of the BT Sport television cameras.

The club are hoping for a big crowd and Hayrettin said he had been working his players hard in training in preparation.

He has also been looking at the players who he has available within his squad and admitted that he would be looking to make changes if he felt new players would improve his options.

He said: “Maybe we’ll have someone in this week as I am trying to see what I can do.

“If I get the opportunity to improve the squad I will and I’ve said that to the players. I’ve pulled no punches in that regard.”
