Chelmsford City manager, Rod Stringer, firmly believes that midfielder, Kane Haysman, will play a huge part as the Clarets look to establish themselves as genuine National League South play-off contenders.

“I signed Kane Haysman who has played at this level, Stringer said. “He has been at Sutton United, Eastbourne Borough and was at Staines Town, but wasn’t really getting in down there.

“I brought him to Chelmsford because I thought we needed something a little bit different. I thought he had a wonderful debut against Bishop’s Stortford on Boxing Day. He was influential for the penalty. He was always bright, good in possession and worked hard.”

Stringer added: “I think the is a really positive signing for the club. Kane has made us slightly stronger along with Michael Spillane. Hopefully, I can add another forward shortly.”
