Niall Heaton has become the latest player to join Nuneaton Town after the talented former Liverpool defender agreed terms at the Liberty Stadium.
The 20-year-old, who is predominantly a centre-back but can also play at left-back, arrives from league rivals Alfreton Town where he was a key member of the back-line.
“I can’t wait to get started and get stuck into it here,” he said. “This is a new start for me and it’s a great opportunity.
“The club has done its business early and it’s clear to see with the quality of the players coming in that the club has ambitions to really push on and make an impact during the season ahead.
“I am delighted to be part of it. The club has a good track record of pushing players on, so hopefully I can help the team get amongst the leading pack whilst also continuing my own development as a player.
“I have learned to become something of a leader on the pitch over the last few years and I want to bring that mentality here.
“It’s a tough League with no easy games. There are a lot of good teams and talented players at this level now and we will need to be at it every game. We can’t afford to carry passengers, so it’s going to be a case of working hard and giving it our all”.
