Hengrove Athletic have announced that midfielder Lewis Dunn has left the club to join fellow Western League Premier Division side Odd Down (BATH)
Dunn, 26, leaves the Grove after joining the club halfway through last season from Brislington. Previous to that, he had played for Welton Rovers.
A part of last season’s promotion-winning season, Dunn scored five goals in 26 appearances and followed it up this year with four goals in 27 games. The last of these came in his final Hengrove game, a classy header late in the game at Wellington.
Manager John Durbin, speaking to the club website said: “I’m disappointed that Lewis has decided to leave. He’s a very good player and I thought he had found his club and was settled with us and I had hoped he was going to be part of this squad for years to come.
“He’s done things the right way, he’s explained his reasons for leaving and I wish him good luck at Odd Down.”
