Hereford manager Josh Gowling has been speaking about the recent new additions to the playing squad.
With outgoings at the National League North side of late, there was an obvious need for reinforcements.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s FA Trophy quarter-final win over National League Aldershot Town, Gowling told the club’s website:
“We looked at Joey (Butlin) and (Michael) Bakare. Bakare obviously came in pre-season, so we’d already had a look at him, it was just a case of getting it over the line, which we finally did.
“Joey was someone who cropped up on our radar, and obviously with Lenny (Lenell John-Lewis) going, it was a no-brainer to bring in someone who can work hard and hold the ball up. And Ryan McLean has come in, which we’ve got over the line.
“He’s a real prospect for the future and we’re looking forward to working with him. It’s just a shame that he’s cup-tied so the fans won’t get to see him in a good run of games, but hopefully he’ll be with us next season and they can see that.”
