Hereford chairman Rob Crawford has said the club are ‘deeply saddened’ to see the current campaign ended early.

Despite the null and void decision on the National League North, however, the Bulls are still to play Aldershot Town in the FA Trophy quarter-final at the end of the month.

Chairman Crawford told the club’s website: “We are deeply saddened that the season has been cut short in this way. We can all agree that it has been a rollercoaster of a season that was challenging to plan effectively from one match to the next, let alone any further ahead.

“This now gives us a chance to regroup and have even greater financial stability going into next season. The board have been impressed with the standard and quality of football this season and the positive cohesion within the team led by Josh (Gowling) and Steve (Burr).

“We are working closely with the whole squad to keep the team together over the coming months, to press on next season and pick up where we left off.”
