Hereford FC have given an update on the status of their injured players, with a number of those closing in on a return to fitness.
Mike Symons, who has been absent since the start of the season, returned to the matchday squad on Tuesday against Southport, having come through a full 90 minutes for Swindon Supermarine on the weekend. He also got 30 minutes under his belt last week as he attempts to build up his match fitness.
Also on the road to recovery is Martin Horsell, who played 90 minutes for Cirencester on the weekend. He kept a clean sheet during his debut after joining them on dual registration last week.
Lance Smith who has been absent for some time with a foot injury had a cortisone injection in his foot last week, and all being well could be available in the near future.
Keyon Reffell continues his rehabilitation following his foot injury. Reffell is set to receive an update on his progress from the consultant in the next few weeks although it is not likely that he will be available until the end of January if all goes well.
Eliot Richards who has been sidelined with a calf injury that he picked up in the Boston match, continues to receive treatment as he closes in on a return. All being well, he could be available this weekend.
A few players reported knocks following the FC United of Manchester game.
