Hereford have completed the signing of 26-year-old Eliot Richards from Merthyr Town, subject to international clearance.

Talking to the official Hereford FC website, Bulls boss Pete Beadle said: “We’re delighted to have managed to bring in Eliot. He’s a player that we’ve had an interest in for a long time.

“We tried to sign him in the summer but things didn’t quite work out then. He’s an attack-minded player who will add another dimension to our game.”

The forward player started his professional career at Bristol Rovers, for whom he made over 100 appearances. After leaving The Memorial Ground in 2014, he has gone on to appear for Exeter City, Tranmere Rovers, Cheltenham Town and Weston-Super-Mare, before joining Merthyr, initially on loan in October 2016.
