Nuneaton Town have signed highly-rated striker Joe Thomas on a dual registration from Chasetown.
The teenager was part of the Wolves Academy until the age of 15, also representing England at Under-16 level during this time and the England colleges team over the past couple of years.
He spent time with Leicester City and Barnsley before serving Stafford Rangers and most recently Chasetown, for whom he has scored five goals in seven outings with some eye-catching displays.
“I am delighted to be able to bring Joe to the club to bolster our attacking options,” said manager, Tommy Wright. “I saw him score two and make two assists in a recent game against Basford, so I’ll be having a closer look at him between now and the end of the season.
“I am confident that he can make the step up; he is a very technical player with a keen eye for goal and I am looking forward to working closely with him.”
Meanwhile Devon Kelly-Evans is back at The Coombe Abbey Arena for the rest of the season.
“He is great to have around the place,” added Wright. “He’s showed us what he is capable of; he’s lightening quick and I’m sure he’ll pick up where he left off.”
