Soham Town Rangers have signed a new keeper to replace the departing George Lawton.

With Lawton moving to New Zealand in February, the Greens’ have brought in Niall Conroy from Southern League Histon.
24 year old Conroy joined the Stutes during the summer from Godmanchester Rovers, having been named their player of the year last season as they finished runners up in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division.

He has also played for St Neots Town, St Ives Town, Newmarket Town and Wisbech Town.

25 year Lawton arrived at the club in October 2015 from Newmarket Town, however missed the final two months of last season due to injury. George returned for the opening game of this campaign, only to pick up another injury which kept him out until mid-October. In total, he has made 39 appearances for the Greens, keeping nine clean sheets.
