Cambridge City manager Robbie Nightingale has agreed terms to sign Michael King from Hitchin Town.

King is no stranger to City having had a loan spell with the Lilywhites during season 2014/15. The 23 year old can play as a centre forward but is equally at home in midfield. He joined Hitchin from Kettering Town in March 2013. As well as his loan with City he has also had spells with Biggleswade, Baldock, and Kings Langley where he played against the Lilywhites in March. King returned to Hitchin in time to feature in the squad for the play-off semi-final victory at Merthyr Town.

Commenting on his arrival, the City boss said “I am delighted to have agreed terms with Michael King. He is a player who will add experience to our squad and has won 2 promotions at the level we will be at next season. He is a strong team player and I am confident he will do well for us”.

King joins fellow new signing Ian Miller as well as Ben Robinson, Jordan Gent, Ryan Sharman and Ross Paterson who have agreed terms from the squad from the last season.
