Truro City will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat at the hands of Bishop’s Stortford when we travel to Forest Green Rovers in the first round of the Buildbase FA Trophy on Saturday.

Manager Lee Hodges said “We’ll enjoy the occasion, but we’re going there to give it a right go,” he insisted. “It’s an opportunity for us to show what we can do against higher level opposition.

“Of course it will be a very difficult game; they have plenty of quality within their ranks, but we want to have a good run in this competition, so there’ll be no holding back.

“Prior to last weekend, we had won four games in a row; our performance levels have been good and confidence has been high.

“We should never have lost to Bishop’s Stortford. We contributed to our own downfall with the goals that we conceded.

“It was disappointing to see our winning run come to an end, but we’ve been back at it this week and our focus is on the challenge that we face at Forest Green.”

Les Afful and Chris Todd look set to be ruled out of a return to their former club through injury.
