Torquay United manager Gary Johnson showed his disappointment in his team’s performance after watching them go out of the Emirates FA Cup to Woking at Plainmoor.
A penalty from Max Kretzschmar was enough to seal a 1-0 win for the Cards.
“It’s very, very disappointing that we lost the game,” said Johnson in his post-match press call. “We’re trying very hard to get the club going again but we didn’t take our opportunities and they took one of the couple they had.
“Once a team goes 1-0 up here, whatever way it happens, it has happened every time that they then waste a lot of time. The boys are disappointed because we’re out of the [FA] Cup, what else can you say?
“I’m gutted because I didn’t want to lose a game. We’ve got Tuesday [versus St Albans] and hopefully we haven’t lost too many of our supporters because at the moment we haven’t really given them a really good game at home yet.
“We’ve had a couple of good halves, and an FA Cup game against a lower league team. We need to do more and the boys need to show a lot more. I think they’ve got it, but they certainly didn’t show it today. Only one or two people looked like they had the ability to go and win the game. I’ve got to find the other players’ ability so that they can at least contribute to the game. I don’t think enough people contributed to the game today.”
