Brandon Fleming has joined Gainsborough Trinity on an initial month’s loan, joining from Championship side Hull City, where he has made a solitary first-team appearance.

Fleming appeared in the Tigers’ EFL cup defeat to Doncaster Rovers back in the autumn. An attacking left-back, with an eye for goal, Fleming is fresh into his second year as a professional having originally signed pro forms in January 2017.

With Trinity boss Lee Sinnott keen to add quality to his threadbare squad, the manager pointed to the youngster’s obvious pedigree: “Brandon has been with Hull since the age of nine and has been schooled in the right way and with the academy there having been promoted to a stage two academy, they are competing to a very high standard in national terms, to be able to attract this type of talent to the club.”
