Hull City youngster Josh Clackstone has joined National League side FC Halifax Town on loan for a month.

Clackstone will join up with former North Ferriby United boss Billy Heath’s side to provide much-needed cover in defence as Halifax attempt to consolidate their position in the fifth tier.

The youngster has been a key figure in the Tigers’ under-23 side this season, captaining Jon Beale’s team on several occasions and he was named on the bench for the first-team on Saturday as City lost 4-1 at Sheffield United.

Clackstone becomes the third under-23 player to leave the club over the last couple of weeks, joining Dan Batty at The Shay, while Callum Burton joined National League North leaders Salford City last week.
