With Martyn Woolford and Dan O’Brien departing, Hyde United have signed Cyril Owolabi.
Manager Dave McGurk said: “We would like to wish Martyn Woolford and Danny O’Brien the best of luck as they move on. Boston made a seven-day approach for Wooly and he has agreed terms with them.
“We were always aware he would have interest higher up the ladder and we thank him for his work with us. Danny has joined Atherton Collieries.
“He got off to a flying start with us and he’s a player I would of loved to have kept. Understandably, he wants to be playing games and Atherton have been long term admirers of him.
“Cyril Owolabi has joined us on non-contract terms. He’s been training and playing with the reserves and we invited him into the first-team set-up and he’s done well over the last two weeks in training.
“Cyril is a centre-midfielder who’s been playing at university in the US. There are several offers out on players at the moment.
“We are working in a small and competitive market where it takes a lot of work in to get the players who fit into the team and dressing room. The fans can be assured that we are working around the clock to bring the players in to boost the squad.”
