Tom Greaves has signed for Hyde United following his resignation earlier this week as player-manager of FC United of Manchester.

Upon stepping down from the role, the club legend spoke of (amongst other factors) his desire to enjoy the final few years of his own playing career.

As well as being the club’s second manager in its history, the forward made 273 appearances for FC United and scored 103 times, which puts him top of the club’s all-time scoring chart.

Greaves, who took temporary charge at FC United last October following Karl Marginson’s exit, now links up with Darren Kelly’s Hyde team in the Evo-Stik Premier Division.
