Hyde United manager Darren Kelly has turned down the chance to manage FC United of Manchester.
The former Oldham Athletic boss spoke to officials at the Vanarama National League North club yesterday, Hyde have confirmed, but Kelly has opted to stay with the Evo-Stik Premier newcomers. FC United have been without a permanent manager since player-boss Tom Greaves left last month. Greaves then went on to sign as a player for Hyde.
The Tigers say that Kelly is committed to building a team that is successful in both the short and long-term.
