Altrincham’s on-loan midfielder Connor Kirby is in good spirits following surgery at the weekend.
The Harrogate Town man sustained a double compound fracture of his left leg in Saturday’s National League game at Wealdstone.
Speaking to Alty’s website, the one-time Sheffield Wednesday prospect said:
“The surgery went well, I think, and I’m on the mend. I’m just achy and tired at the moment.”
Wealdstone have announced plans for a fundraiser for Kirby at their home game against Aldershot this coming weekend.
