Glenn Tanton is to step down from his role as Immingham Town chairman.

The club were 4th in this season’s Lincolnshire Football League Premier, having played eight games.

On the change at the top, the club have said: “Glenn joined in 2016 as a club committee member and was present at the initial AGM. Starting his journey with our club just helping out casually at first saw Glenn become more and more involved.

“Most notably, Glenn had been involved with getting back on the Woodlands Site and arranging a superb fundraising day to remember. In the 2018/19 season, Glenn stepped up to become the chairman of this great club, taking us from Woodlands to Blossom Way Sports and Social Club.

“As a club, we would like to thank Glenn for all his valuable time and effort that he has given voluntarily to help the club find its feet after the rebirth in 2016.”
