Maidstone United have announced that Alex Akrofi has agreed a deal to join Ryman League Division One South side Hastings United.

The 21-year-old was on loan at National League South side Concord Rangers until the New Year but was recalled earlier this week ahead of the move.

Akrofi joined the Stones in October 2014 and went on to make fifty-seven appearances during the back-to-back promotion campaigns.

There are many familiar faces to welcome him at The Pilot Field including Matt Bodkin, Frannie Collin and Steve Watt.

Meanwhile, Reece Hall-Johnson has left the Stones and signed for National League South side Bishop`s Stortford and Jack Richards has begun a month-long loan with Ryman Division One South outfit Faversham Town.

New to the Stones squad is midfielder Charlie Harris.

The 20-year-old, who was previously with Barnsley and Brighton & Hove Albion, played and scored in Monday’s friendly against Snodland and is likely to feature in next Tuesday’s Kent Senior Cup match away at Bromley.
