Tranmere Rovers manager Gary Brabin says that confidence amongst his squad is high after a cracking start to the new season.
Rovers have won each of their first four fixtures and are preparing for a home game against newly-promoted Maidstone United at Prenton Park this weekend.
The boss is well aware of the threat a newly promoted team can cause and say the players will be well prepared for the task ahead on Saturday.
He told Tranmere Player HD: “Maidstone are a side on the crest of a wave after getting promoted so they will be confident.
“Our main focus is always to be respectful of the opposition, be aware of problems they can pose but first and foremost we need to focus on ourselves and do our jobs well.
“We believe that we’ll get better and better. It’s about performances, the results will take care of themselves. We’re not looking further than the next game and we want to win the next game.
“When you are working as hard as we are and playing as well as we are, that’s the thing that gives us confidence going into games.
“We won’t be taking our foot off the gas. We have to keep going and keep reminding ourselves of what we’ve been doing to be performing well and getting the results we have been.”
