Kidderminster Harriers and Doncaster Rovers have confirmed that the friendly match between the two teams, to be played at Aggborough this Saturday, has been cancelled.
Rovers sustained multiple injuries in a pre-season fixture against Newcastle United on Wednesday evening and, as such, have informed Harriers on Thursday that they will be unable to field a side for the game.
Harriers Managing Director Dave Pountney commented: “To lose one of our key pre-season home games at such short notice is a blow to us in terms of finances and our preparations at the stage of pre-season, and this is something that is totally out of our control.
“We’d like to apologise to all of our supporters for any inconvenience caused.”
Harriers also wished the injured Rovers players well and confirmed they are looking for a replacement fixture this weekend.
