England C were beaten 4-3 by Slovakia`s under-21 side at Sutton United on Sunday.
The visitors took the lead after 18 minutes when Lukas Haraslin unleashed a powerful, angled drive which beat Brandon Hall at his far post, despite the keeper, who has just been released by Vanarama National League South side Ebbsfleet United, getting a hand to it.
Ten minutes later the Three Lions were level when Bromley`s Jack Holland headed home from close range after a period of sustained England pressure.
Holland had to leave the field with an injury shortly afterwards, but it was his replacement, the host side`s Louis John, who gave England the lead with a header from Sam Habergham`s cross in the 38th minute.
And the substitute was on hand to increase the home side`s lead 7 minutes into the second half with another header from a corner.
But just 3 minutes later Tomas Huk responded with a neat header, also from a corner.
Then, with 15 minutes remaining, Slovakia were level with a fine finish by sub Michal Fasko.
It looked as though a draw was the likely outcome. However, with 6 minutes of stoppage time gone, the visitors won it with another excellent goal from the impressive Fasko, firing home a free-kick on the edge of the area.
