Braintree Town have confirmed the signing of three more new players
Defenders Ian Gayle, released by Dagenham & Redbridge, Jake Goodman, formerly of Millwall, and goalkeeper Sam Cowler.
Twenty-three-year-old Gayle started his career with Dagenham in 2011, but in the intervening five years, managed only ten appearances for the Daggers.
However, he has had extensive loan spells with the likes of St Neots Town, Grays Athletic, Kingstonian, Whitehawk, Histon, Bishop`s Stortford and Welling United.
Goodman, 22, started his career with Millwall and had loan spells in the National League with Aldershot Town and Luton Town and also at Staines Town and in League Two with AFC Wimbledon, where he made fifteen League appearances.
He was released by the Lions at the end of the 2014/15 season and signed for Margate.
Cowler, 23, had an eventful youth career with West Ham United.
Whilst on the Hammers books he was sent out on loan to the likes of Wycombe Wanderers, Queens Park Rangers, Yeovil Town and Barnet.
He eventually signed for Barnet on a more permanent basis in the summer of 2012 and played a couple of times in the first-team.
He left the Bees in July 2013 and joined Bishop`s Stortford, but returned to Barnet a year later, but managed only one more senior game before leaving at the end of the 2014/15 season.
The last couple of seasons has seen Cowler turn out for Heybridge Swifts and Brightlingsea Regent in the Ryman League Division One North.
