Chesterfield manager James Rowe refused to be too downhearted following last night’s loss to Sutton United.

The Spireites were beaten 1-0 by the National League leaders, with a result that leaves Town 15th and six points off the play-off places.

Rowe told the club’s website:

“This is the adversity I was talking about. If you want to get to a destination, it is never smooth.

“Six are in the play-offs and we want to be one of those six if we can. It doesn’t just fall apart now.

“We’ve got Barnet away; it poses a different type of challenge. Hopefully we can put tonight behind us and go again.”
