Head coach Gary Owers may still be in the market for a striker, but he believes that his current Torquay United forwards are well capable of delivering goals, with Jamie Reid top of the list.
“It’s not a desperate search – I think we’ve got players in the building who are capable, but we can’t wait for ever,” said Owers, who has just signed on-loan right wing-back Jazzi Barnum-Bobb from Newport County.
“I could go out and get any one of loads of available strikers in, but the biggest thing with any player I bring in now is that they have to improve the team, and I’m not going to sign anyone unless I’m sure of that.”
